The primary objective is to enable rapid response in the event of incidents and to improve overall understanding of cyber risks in the maritime sector.</p>

<p>The maritime CERT (MCERT) is designed as an international platform providing cyber threat intelligence and incident response support. The seminar, co-organized by the port authority and the shipowners’ association, took place during Singapore Maritime Week. <a href="https://www.mpa.gov.sg/web/portal/home/media-centre/news-releases/detail/0c373e30-7ff8-4a8a-a1d8-32bd3299ea4d" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer ">A summary of the seminar is available here</a>.</p>

<p>Among the topics discussed during the seminar, it was notably announced that the Port Authority of Singapore would establish a maritime cybersecurity operations center operating 24/7 during the third quarter of 2018, with the objective of strengthening capabilities for detection, monitoring, analysis, and response.</p>]]></description></item></channel></rss>
