The Port Authority of Singapore establishes a maritime cybersecurity operations center

More than 250 participants from various backgrounds attended the second “Maritime Cyber Security” seminar in Singapore. The seminar, co-organized by the port authority and the shipowners’ association, took place during Singapore Maritime Week. A summary of the seminar is available on the MPA website.

Among the topics discussed during the seminar, it was notably announced that the Port Authority of Singapore would establish a maritime cybersecurity operations center operating 24/7 during the third quarter of 2018, with the objective of strengthening capabilities for detection, monitoring, analysis, and response.
